a bolo tie is a western look.
i remember seeing brothers wear western cut sports coats...wear cowboy booths...would a bolo tie be ok today?
i know the no hair look passed.
I suppose I should Google BOLO TIE and find out what the fuss is about. Not the sort of thing we hear much about here in slepy ol' England.
I went to the DC once in Motorbike boots, jeans, Belstaff, polo neck etc. Nobody said anything, but then I wasn't giving a talk!

In the 1960's RON DRAGE District Overseer always wore a bow tie (Dickie Bow here in UK). It was his trade mark for years. He is a big wig in London Bethel these days. I wonder if he still wears them?

I always thought you did the pendulum trick when you are pregnant. Clockwise it's a boy, anticlockwise it' a girl. (or maybe the other way round)
Maybe you thought it would be cheaper than a scan!!!

recently, i obtained some pdf copies of old golden age magazines.
i haven't had much time to read these but i just came across the december 31, 1924 issue.
i had heard the golden age was a bit odd...this confirms it.
Morton Edgar was still teaching pyramid doctrine up till his death in about 1952. He was an active witness during all this time and I even saw a programme for a convention in Manchester where he was giving a talk. (1940's).
Today he would be disfellowshipped for not toeing the party line.

I do not see any windows. It is now a basement, if you look at the other photos you can see when it was discovered after the goat barn was demolished and the earth scraped. Apparantly the owner of the site moved the location of his new house so it could be built over the 'bomb shelter' and he could use it as a basement or whatever.

That is possibly true. What is a known fact is that the WTS owned Beth-Shan; that is proved by the article in Consolation and the court case after JFR's death. Like Beth-Sarim it was deeded to the prophets on their return.
I wonder what the WTS would say if you wrote and asked them about it?

Just Google Beth-Shan and you also find several other references to it. It is only mentioned once in the WTS literature, a Consolation magazine of 1942 and that was only about the court case surrounding JFR's burial. He wanted to be buried at Beth-Sarim. If that was not possible then Beth-Shan. In the event neither locations were allowed.

It's worth reading about BETH-SHAN on the internet. Rutherford's other safe house with underground bomb shelters etc. Just for him and close friends!
I think the new HQ in Warwick follows a similar patter to Beth-shan; rural, self-sufficient and with an underground bomb shelter car park for 750 vehicles.

i wonder if anyone knows what the age distribution of jehovah's witnesses is.
i don't think we can assume it's the same as that for the general population of any country.
i would appreciate any comments..
